  • Major Triad: 1st, 3rd, 5th/ C Major Triad: C E G

  • Major 7th: 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th/ C Major 7th: C E G B

    • write as: C major 7th; C maj 7; CM 7; C🔺7

• examples:

  • Up and down the C major 7th 4 times (6:05)

  • Up is C Major 7th, down is C Major (7:12)
